Beginning October, 2019 with strong Santa Ana winds fire began burning throughout Northwest Baja California in Tijuana, Rosarito and Ensenada. The fires burned for over a week. There were m any lives lost, hundred of homes destroyed and millions in property loss.
The small coastal communities of La Mision and Santa Anita were hit hard. These communities are nestled in the mountain canyon just east of the sea between Rosarito and Ensenada. Most of the community is dirt roads, with minimal infrastructure and the necessary emergency services like fire and ambulance.
With as many as 25 homes losts, and more than 40 damaged and many families displaced, without shelter, food, clothing or many resources. 100% of the funds raised at the concert Jamboree and the GO FUND ME link below will go to La Mision / Santa Anita homes affected by these horrible fires.
The Blues Against Hunger Society is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to produce live blues music events that promote the collection and distribution of non-perishable food to the hungry while supporting, promoting and preserving the blues in the communities it serves.
