The BAHS is a Giving Circle
The Blues Against Hunger Society is the axis for the blues giving circle. It is four primary parts that breath life into the efforts and mission statement of BAHS. Each giving of themselves and passing it forward to the next in a continuous circle of giving.
The venues provide a home to the BAHS Chapter Jamborees, meeting and member gatherings. As the host, they provide the foundation for a BAHS community. The venue supports BAHS to produce great live blues events for collecting food.
The venues pay the host band, as they would any local band at average local market rates and provide discounts to patrons that make food donations. They are giving back to those that give.
The venues become part of a growing network of restaurants, hotels, and resorts, working together to give hunger the blues.
Our BAHS Venues
The musicians provide the life blood to the BAHS mission. The music brings people together. The music and passion provided by the musicians lets us cross boundaries, borders and speak to one another. The musicians share their passion for the blues with BAHS Members and Blues Fans and give themselves to entertain. The host band and Chapter boards work together with BAHS to have well run blues jams with great talent and participation.

The Blues Fans are the heart that pumps the musicians life blood. The blues fans are the people in the community that come out each month or week to support the blues and their community. The blues fans BAHS become members and support BAHS and their effort to eliminate hunger. Each BAHS Jamboree blues fans bring a food donation, and each Jamboree they help their community service provider. It is their steady support that keeps the lifeblood flowing.

Beginning October, 2019 with strong Santa Ana winds fire began burning throughout Northwest Baja California in Tijuana, Rosarito and Ensenada. The fires burned for over a week. There were m any lives lost, hundred of homes destroyed and millions in property loss.
The small coastal communities of La Mision and Santa Anita were hit hard. These communities are nestled in the mountain canyon just east of the sea between Rosarito and Ensenada. Most of the community is dirt roads, with minimal infrastructure and the necessary emergency services like fire and ambulance.
With as many as 25 homes losts, and more than 40 damaged and many families displaced, without shelter, food, clothing or many resources. 100% of the funds raised at the concert Jamboree and the GO FUND ME link below will go to La Mision / Santa Anita homes affected by these horrible fires.
The Blues Against Hunger Society is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to produce live blues music events that promote the collection and distribution of non-perishable food to the hungry while supporting, promoting and preserving the blues in the communities it serves.
